Inner Landscapes

This series explores the terrain of memory and emotion — the landscapes we carry within us. Using layered charcoal, natural pigments, and gestural marks, each work maps an interior geography shaped by displacement, resilience, and the search for home. From the jungles of Sumatra to the streets of Paris, these paintings trace the invisible paths between who we were and who we are becoming.

Chromatic Pulse

2025–Present

An investigation of color as emotion, as energy, as life force. These works pulse with the intensity of lived experience — the reds of courage, the blues of solitude, the golds of hope. Each painting is a burst of chromatic energy, capturing the moment when feeling becomes form. The palette draws from both the tropical vibrancy of Indonesia and the sophisticated restraint of European abstraction.

Sumatra Memories

2025–Present

Painted from memory, these nocturnal landscapes revisit the village in North Sumatra where AYTRA grew up. Traditional huts, jungle trees, and the sounds of night are rendered in dark, atmospheric pastels and acrylics. These are not literal depictions but emotional reconstructions — the village as it lives in the heart of someone who left at seventeen and never stopped looking back.
